With all this hype around hybrid cars and how they are better for the environment, how can the public ignore all environmental impacts that go into producing their batteries? I have seen a study or something that driving a hummer is better for the environment than a small hybrid vehicle. After all the land destruction, fossil fuels burnt on mining and life of the vehicle, the Hummer has less of an environmental impact. How can this fact be ignored? |
I agree that hybrids are not the only way to go. I prefer small, lighter, less expensive cars and diesel as alternatives; they can have less impact on the environment when they are being manufactured. |
