Appreciated your recent review of the 2008 Accord sedan. However, I was surprised that you did not twig to the "near clone" status of the new Accord?s styling as compared to the Nissan Altima in both sedan and coupe versions. Wow ...it would be difficult to tell them apart if one didn?t look real close. You did mention a mild resemblance to a BMW model, but the resemblance to the Altima is unmistakable. Also, you commented on the size of the centre dash control "knob" on the new Accord. This style of "joystick" control knob has been universally panned by reviewers and owners alike since it first appeared (on a BMW, I think) a number of years ago. Why do manufacturers continue to include features like this, that no one seems to like? Don?t they do market research?? |
I don't personally see the Altima in the lines of the new Accord but I do agree that too many cars have far too many gadgets. I like the fact that the I can get by without having to use many of the features on the new Accord, they are included for those that like all the high tech stuff. |
