The C-Class and BMW 3 Series are both great cars, the Mercedes is a bit softer and less ''engaged'' than the BMW, plus BMW just came out with a new turbo 4-cylinder that is wonderful. The all-wheel-drive 3 Series is just about to arrive. Also try the Infiniti G37X

Hi Zach, I listen and watch your show a lot and have to come to value your opinion and insight into cars. I bought a 07 323i last year and have driven about 12 months with it. When we first got the car it did not use any oil for the first 8 months never needed to add any, now at 70k I am having to add about 1 litre per 2000k. I can't find a substantial leak under the hood and the exhaust is clear. I have noticed a little bit of oily water in the tail pipe not very much could be carbon. Would you have any ideas as to this problem, i have done some reading and people say this is normal? This is my first German car and not sure to the tendencies of them. thanks Tyler Gawley

German cars are known for using more oil, it is only when you get to 1L/1000km that you need to worry. If you do a lot of city driving then go on one long trip, the oil level can drop due to the engine burning off condensation. If you change oil types, then the new oil might not be compatible with BMW standards, so be sure to use the recommended oil from BMW. Open the oil filler cap and if you see a white milky residue under the filler cap, if so you might want to take it in. Monitor it for now and see if you notice any changes.

I currently drive a 2011buick regal and while I like it I find it a bit under powered. I trade in Every 2 years and would like to upgrade to a sport sedan in the 50k range. so far I'm leaning towards Hyundai genesis or BMW 328i,and just read your review of the Acura too.Are there any others to consider. I value your opinion and try to catch your show on tv when I have a chance an listen in on am770 .

The all-new BMW 328i is fantastic, a great balance of power and efficiency, plus you will get a better residual value on this new model. You might want to order one of the first AWD models coming this fall.
