Hi Zack, I currently own a 2000 Camry with just over 100,000 KM that runs like a charm, but my right hip thinks it needs a higher seat so I'm thinking of getting an SUV. I was thinking Honda CRV but then read about the Mazda CX5 which sounds interesting. Since I am only 5'3'' I don't want anything too high, yet adjustable so I can can get in the car without falling in like I do now. I don't suppose a car would meet those height requirements unless you know of one where the seat can be raised without crowding the space between the seat and steering wheel. I want leather interior, a sun roof and heated seats etc.
What do you think would best fit this senior without breaking the bank? I would consider a used car that was younger than 4 years old with mileage under 50,000 KM since I want to keep the cost under $30,000 incl. all costs.

Hi Zack, We, a 60ish aged couple, are considering the above vehicles top of the line. Besides warranty do you favour one over the other? Also, what was that coating, like a wax, that I have heard you talking about on your show? Thanks. Bob Hall

Also have a look at the new Mazda CX-5, which gets a new engine update in about a month to a 2.5L engine. All three are good choices. Contact me when you buy a vehicle to discuss the wax.

I am looking for an suv that gives great mileage as I commute 120Km a day 5 days a week. I have looked but not driven the HondaCRV, BMW X5 and the Jeep Compass. I want at least 40 mpg s which is my number. Which one would you recommend and do you suggest leasing over buying. I currently drive an 08 Tacoma 4x4 and it is not very fuel conscious.

Motormouth.ca says: 11:04 AM on October 23, 2012 40 MPG will be very tough in any SUV. I'd look at the CR-V and Mazda CX-5 for the best fuel numbers. The best way to save fuel is to drive very conservatively. Have you thought about a taller compact car, like a Kia SOUL?

My wife watched this video and was very interested in buying this suv. She went to the local Mazda dealer and Mazda canada had no,0, cx5 with the beige interior in this country. She does not like black interior cars so she is still looking.
